Professional Deep Tissue Massage | Wherever You Are Staying in Bali
If your body is carrying deep tension, chronic muscle tightness, or the physical demands of an active Bali trip — surfing in Canggu, hiking in Ubud, long drives across the island — a deep tissue massage is exactly what you need.
Putu Bali Spa Home Care brings professional, focused deep tissue massage directly to your villa or hotel room. Our experienced therapists arrive fully equipped and work deep into the muscle layers to release tension that a regular massage simply cannot reach.
This is not a gentle relaxation massage. This is targeted, therapeutic bodywork — delivered in the comfort and privacy of your own space.
Available 24 hours a day. Same-day booking welcome.

Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic massage technique that applies slow, firm pressure and deliberate strokes to reach the deeper layers of muscle tissue and connective tissue (fascia) beneath the surface. Unlike a relaxation massage that works mainly on the upper muscle layers, deep tissue massage targets the inner structures of the body where chronic tension, knots, and postural pain are held.
The technique uses a combination of:
Deep tissue massage is particularly effective for people who carry chronic tension in their neck, shoulders, and lower back — and for active individuals whose muscles are frequently pushed hard through exercise, sport, or physical work.
Deep tissue massage goes beyond surface relaxation to address the root causes of muscle pain, tension, and restricted movement. Regular treatments offer powerful physical and therapeutic benefits that last long after the session ends.
Physical benefits:
Therapeutic benefits:

Deep tissue massage is different from a relaxation treatment. Here is exactly what to expect — from booking to the moment your therapist packs up and leaves.
We deliver deep tissue massage home service to every major area of Bali. Whether you are a surfer in Canggu with tight shoulders, a hiker in Ubud with aching legs, a remote worker in Seminyak with a stiff back, or a long-haul traveller at a Nusa Dua resort — we come to you.

Deep tissue massage pairs powerfully with other treatments for a complete recovery and renewal experience — all delivered together to your villa in one visit:
Deep tissue massage involves firm pressure that can feel intense in areas of tight muscle or chronic tension. It should always feel like "good pain" — a deep pressure that releases, rather than sharp or unpleasant pain. Our therapists work progressively, starting lighter and increasing depth as the muscles respond. Always communicate with your therapist — more or less pressure is always fine to request.
For chronic tension or ongoing muscle tightness, 1–2 sessions per week is ideal during an active period. For maintenance and prevention, once every 1–2 weeks is effective. If you are in Bali for an active holiday — surfing, hiking, yoga — a session every 2–3 days will significantly improve your performance and recovery.
Balinese massage uses flowing strokes, kneading, acupressure, and warm oils in a rhythmic, full-body treatment focused on relaxation and energy flow. Deep tissue massage uses slow, firm, targeted pressure focused on releasing specific areas of deep muscle tension and chronic pain. Balinese massage is deeply relaxing; deep tissue massage is deeply therapeutic. Many guests enjoy both on alternating days.
Deep tissue massage is not recommended immediately after surgery, during pregnancy (standard version), or if you have osteoporosis, blood clots, or certain skin conditions. If you have any medical concerns, please mention them when you book and we can advise the most appropriate treatment. Our therapists are experienced in adapting treatments for different needs.
We strongly recommend drinking at least 500ml–1 litre of water in the hours following deep tissue massage. The treatment releases metabolic waste products from the muscle tissue into the bloodstream — hydration helps your body process and eliminate these efficiently and reduces post-treatment soreness.
Some muscle soreness in the 24–48 hours after deep tissue massage is completely normal — especially if it is your first session or if it has been a while since your last massage. This is the body's natural response to deep muscle work and typically resolves within 48 hours. Drinking water, gentle movement, and a warm shower help significantly.
Yes — deep tissue massage can be very effective for sciatica, particularly when the sciatic nerve is being compressed by tight piriformis or lower back muscles. Our therapists can work specifically on the areas contributing to sciatic pain. Please mention this when you book so we can allocate the right therapist and duration.
Some bodies need more than relaxation. They carry tension that has been building for months — from long hours at a desk, from years of sport, from stress that never fully leaves. Deep tissue massage reaches where surface treatments cannot go.
Putu Bali Spa Home Care delivers that therapeutic depth directly to you — in your villa, your hotel room, your private space — available any hour, every day. No traffic, no shared treatment rooms, no rush.
This is bodywork that actually makes a difference. And this is how it should be received — privately, on your terms, in Bali.
